2008 Kia Rondo

The 2008 Kia Rondo crossover utility vehicle combines comfort and convenience with utility, value and a little bit of "stylatude," offering consumers a unique vehicle that is capable of seating five or seven passengers.

The exterior shape of the 2008 Rondo can be enhanced by an accessory body kit, which includes front/rear/side fascia extensions and a lower rear spoiler. An upper rear spoiler, mudguards, and roof rack crossbars are available as standalone options.

Inside Rondo, an immediate sense of spaciousness is evident. The standard five- and optional seven-passenger seating configurations will appeal to consumers looking for the functionality of a minivan, but not the size and heft.

Rondo is available with either a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine or a 2.7-liter V6. The four-cylinder delivers 162 horsepower and 164 lb.-ft. of torque while the six-cylinder produces 182 horsepower and 182 lb.-ft. of torque.

Available in LX and EX trim levels, standard features include a four-speaker AM/FM/CD tuner, air conditioning (for most models), along with power windows and door locks, as well as an auxiliary input jack for personal MP3-type players, which is new for the 2008 model year. The EX upgrades include a MP3-capable AM/FM/CD stereo with front tweeters and steering wheel-mounted audio controls. A leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, illuminated vanity mirrors and metal-finish interior door handles also come standard on all EX models.
